Y'know, i might just take you up on that - _after_ my bulb next burns
out :-)

Or next time I happen to be pulling the dash anyway (I know I can get
the bulb out through the glove box, but I'm to lazy to do it if I
don't absolutely need to)

If you had this up about a year ago, I may have done it... my clock
worked but had no light.  Replacing it with and LED was on my "to do"
list.  Then one day, for no apparent reason, it lit up!  and has been
working fine since.
