The rebuild of cutting the top off of the yellow Koni OEM struts (1987 944)
and adding the new strut insert cartridge went very smoothly. It's
amazing
how nice the new Koni shocks perform. I thought they would be too firm -
but I can hardly tell the difference. Even though one old front strut was
broken and leaking oil everywhere.
Now my front end feels like new. Like a miracle. These shocks are
lifetime
guaranteed and I should have done it YEARS ago.
My last 944 with 550,000 miles had the Konis replaced under warranty about
3
times.
