About "Dane Coachworks basically did it exactly the same colour, meteor

Apparently there are 3 versions of meteor metallic, some of the US web
sites
that sell paint offer all three
Look at http://www.911c1.de/****sche/Technik/farben/farbcode_sonstige.htm
for
all 3 codes; just do a search on the page for meteor.
I heard ****sche no longer supply this colour so any paint will be from an
after market supplier.

I know, and it's still original because deleting rubbing strips was on
option on S2s (I'm pretty sure). OK the wheels aren't original, but
they do suit it so well.

I believe they masked the PUs - not sure. They certainly removed the
windows and all the door trim.

The early photos are by the PO and are of a very dark cast. Dane
Coachworks basically did it exactly the same colour, meteor metallic
which is very close to seal grey. I love it!
Joel
PS: I think it is really £2k worth as it took them a lot longer than
they thought it would.
