After three years of reliable service my AirCon started working
intermittently while I was in France. By some miracle I found an
Automotive AirCon engineer who managed to fit me in yesterday,
although now he is booked solid for the next week or so.
He was happy to work on a 928 without pressuring me to convert my R12
system, and was able to supply either R24 or Isceon49. Just over 500g
of refrigerant was recovered and a new charge of 920g (I think) plus
new oil was added after a 40 minute vacuum. The service lasted over
two hours and I was charged £80, fully receipted.
