I used copper (microbore central heating pipe) and where possible used the
old fittings with the help of a faring tool from Machine Mart, they also
sell a bender that suits the 10mm pipe. To join to the good old pipe I
used compression fittings from B&Q. This was quite a few years ago, and no
recurring problems.
