chevy 454 TBI

I am installing a TBI on my '73 C30 454 truck, using stock Chevy parts
and a Painless Performance harness.  Everything checks out, but I
cannot get a spark or fuel pulse.  Will this system give me a spark if
I accidentally have my distribtor 180 out of time?
