I had the body off for about 6 months and didn't see a vin number anywhere
on the frame. I've had several people tell me that GM didn't have VIN
numbers on the cars in 1937 but did have the chassis numbers on a plate
attached to the firewall. That plate is long gone on this project
although
I do have the Fischer body plate. I've also been told that a lot of
people
used the engine I.D. number for the registration. This car hasn't had the
original engine in it for over 20 years so that isn't good either.
