9-5 TID .... Any Good?

Hi
I currently own a 1998 9-5 2.3 Turbo, but am looking at a diesel for fuel
economy (02 
year)
What, if any, are the pros and cons of owning a TID over a petrol engined
one?
Apart from the "usual" 9-5 ones that is ;-)
