OK,
Thank you all very much for your input on my last post. I have found
a car I am considering buying, possibly this week. It is a 2002 9-3
Convertible (SE), with the sports package. This car is loaded with
every option. It drives great and has 55,000 miles. I have got the
dealer down to 12,100.00. The paint is great, and the interior is
near perfect. Does this sound like a good deal?
Any problems I should check for?
The first time I drove it, the engine light was on and it was in limp-
home mode due to an automatic transmission control module. However,
they changed this out and it now drives great.
The only "problem" is that it is the brown (hazelnut metallic) color.
I didn't like it at first, but it has really grown on me. It looks
very classy to me. I was looking at a lazer red one, but it seemed to
be a little bright and showy for my taste. If I wanted to have a car
that screamed for attention I wouldn't be getting the Saab.
Also, do Saab's have a blow-off valve or some mechanism that is
similar on factory engines? I have heard they do, but I cannot find
any conclusive information that say that they do.
