zero power in snow saab 95 2002

by edbice <edbice@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 24, 2008 at 04:25 PM

Here is the deal. Saab 95 wagon with chains (on front tires, duh)--
just went over teton pass with max speed of (honestly) 6mph. The
conditions were packed snow with the road having been recently plowed.
My old 900 would cruise these conditions at about 35mph without chains
in similar conditions. I tried switching off the 'winter' setting, put
the car into 'low 4'--etc. etc. Just no power whatsoever. Lucky to not
have an accident as about 100 cars chugged pass going 30-40 mph up the
pass. The car drives normally on level dry pavement...any ideas?
