Re: SRS Light

My 92 9000T (USA) does have an airbag and the SRS light came on not too
long ago. Also happened on my Dodge Cummins Turbo diesel a while back.
That was the clockspring and the 92 9000 T is probably also the
clockspring in the steering wheel.

In the Dodge, the cruise control stopped working as well. Horns still
work in the 9000.

Disconnect the battery and leave it sit for a day. Then carefully remove
the airbag, keeping your head out of the way, and check the clockspring
for continuity. Replace it if defective.

If clockspring is OK, then it may be something else and it becomes more
complicated to diagnose.

BTW, the clockspring is what allows the steering wheel to turn back and
forth and still keep electrical connections - nothing to do with
timekeeping!
