I don't think this one needed a skim either. And the blow wasn't into
the combustion chamber, it was between water ways, oil ways and the
outside world, so I didn't overheat, so it didn't need skimming.
I pulled a litre and half of oil contaminated coolant out and replaced
it with fresh (it had ac***ulated worst in the header) and was able to
drive it normally for a week until I could drop it off.
I think I caught it early enough to avoid catastrophic failure and
warpage. It didn't even run hotter than normal, and now the
aircon/heater/cooling appears to work a touch better now the
heater/blower circuit isn't pu****ng hot mayo arround.
