I bit the bullet and extracted the decaying SID and used a biro to
press the contacts of the ribbon to the PCB. A little better but not
much.
On eBay there are some offers to fix these pesky SIDs. I'm near
London. Has anyone done the deed and posted off their SID and got it
back restored to full life?
