Unfortunately that wouldn't help a lot, because when I invoked one of my
pre-coded searches from
my eBay "favorite searches" list, it automatically took me to the "New
eBay Motors"
and presented me with a blank generic search screen...
http://www.motors.ebay.com/
I did do as you suggested, and switched to the old eBay Motors
yesterday, but the problem
persisted whenever I went back to My eBay and invoked one of my
"favorite searches".
BUT, now I think they must have just made changes from when the problem
started 2 days ago
(and I re****ted it) and persisted this morning, because now all the
searches I created BEFORE the
"NEW eBay Motors" came into existence (by simply coding a search
argument in the search field
and then saving the result) are working fine (they weren't working at
all yesterday; now only
the ones I saved while USING the new eBay Motors are sending me to the
link you gave above,
forcing me to build the search again from scratch.
So it appears to me my problems may have been a glitch introduced by
eBay changing something,
and now they have changed it back (except that the searches I created
under the
New eBay Motors, that used to work, still aren't working, but I have far
fewer of those).
Actually, after I re****ted the problem, I got back what appeared to be a
nonsensical answer
that referenced a problem I hadn't re****ted, but maybe the problem they
cited was a generic
problem many people were re****ting that had symptoms different from what
I was experiencing.
Their note didn't make sense to me because all my favorite searches were
listed fine, and I hadn't
re****ted any "missing" searches, mine were there, they just weren't
working, and still weren't working
after I received their reply note.... here's their reply note and my
original problem re****t:
Dear Wayne,
Thank you for re****ting that My eBay was showing only 20 of your
Favorite Searches or Favorite Sellers. We were able to get this
corrected so that you will see up to 100 of your Favorites.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Sincerely,
Roy E.

Message: I have a number of old searches that have stopped working; they
apparently WILL work on eBay.com if I highlight and copy the search
argument off my search page then paste it in the search field, but when
I simply click on the search for an automotive item it takes me to a
starter search field at eBay motors where I am forced to go through a
bunch of screens that end up not doing the search I used to do easily,
and I have to further modify the search to even get close to my original
search. WTH??? Are you deliberately trying to make things difficult for
users?
