At least it doesn't have an electric fuel pump strapped to the rear
axle like the '61 Hawk on E-bay right now. He even had people writing
in complimenting the work done on that car.
There is so much stupid terminology in the ads for cars anyway-
like 80 percent restored or 90 percent- what the hell does that mean ?
Ready for restoration- like the previous owner waited until the
deterioration of the car was "just right " before he offered it for
sale. Hey buy what you like and can afford.
I am just amazed how many Packard Hawks keep turning up. I like
seeing them. My brother was super lucky with his find of a Packard
Hawk. We were bidding on that one last year in January that was in
Texas - it was a stick with overdrive. We backed out during the last 2
minutes. It was over $9000 at that time. Instead he found another one
here in New Jersey for less money and less miles, from the original
owners daughter . The car is on the road and being driven the way it
should be. It will be going to the drag strip this year as well.
