What have people in California been paying for the Camry LE automatic

by SMS <scharf.steven@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 26, 2008 at 04:35 PM

Wonder what others have been paying for the 2009 Camry LE 4 cylinder
automatic in California, northern or southern.

We're looking to replace the 1996 Camry LE (saving it for the
child-unit) with a 2009. Looks like prices are bottoming out for the
2009. The best price I've found is $17,900 (which includes a $500
factory to buyer rebate). This would involve a trip to Southern
California from Northern California (locally it's about $700 more
expensive ($18,600)).

For the 1996 it was $1600 less in Southern California, making it worth
the trip (with $1 or so gasoline), but not sure we want to go through
all that again to save just $700, considering air fare, a motel, and
gasoline.

It's pretty amazing that after more than 13 years the street price has
gone up by only $1000, yet the 2009 includes a lot more standard
features, including ABS.

The spousal unit wants a Prius, but for the number of miles we drive
it's not worth it. It's too small, and there are no mare carpool lane
stickers available.
