My '93 GT (different engine) shows low pressure if I use the recommended
5W30 oil, which is a bit too thin for an engine with 130,000 miles. Last
time I put 15W50 Mobil 1 and the needle is now in the middle when cruising

at 3,000 RPM (above the L in NORMAL). The engine runs smoother, it seems
to
have a bit more power and the gas mileage is about the same (24 mpg).

I think the sensor and the gauge are just fine.
