Check the connection at the oil sensor - make sure there's no oxidation
on the contacts. If still low readings, just go ahead and replace the
oil sensor. It's cheaper than having a mechanic diagnose the problem.
If still low readings, then get the mechanic. You sure don't want a
bad oil pump to go too long.
