Followup to the belt squeeking issue:
I got sufficiently frustrated with it to take my car to the Ford
dealer. Result :
harmonic balancer is bad.
So far so good, but they also told me that Ford no longer makes these
and I am on my own trying to find a replacement part from a junkyard. I
am really annoyed that Ford abandons 8 year old cars.
Anyway, do you have any suggestions on where I can find aftermarket or
rebuilt balancers ? 1AAuto.com has one for '97 Probe GT, but mine is a
regular SE.
