No, they did not. Visa is a brand, not a credit card company (Well, there
is a
Visa company, but it processes transactions and other things, it does not
issue
cards.)

Its possible that they received a call from their card issuer or any one
of the
other million companies that can pull a credit re****t.

>They were told that they had driven 4001 miles over the last 2 months.

If I called 100,000 people and congratulated them on having a birthday
this
month, I'd be right over 8,000 times!

That said, newer versions of GM Onstar re****t things like miles driven to
GM,
who in turn uses that to send maintenance reminders (like oil changes) to
the
owner.

>-They were asked if they wanted some additional coverage on some thing.

You (or they are going to have to be a lot more specific about what they
were
being offered.

>-They were shocked to know that the mileage was correct to the mile.

I sincerely doubt that it was correct "to the mile". 2000 miles a month is
pretty average number for mileage driven.

GM does this with Onstar. Use the onboard GPS/Nav system to re****t a
position
back to Onstar. While Ford does not offer this directly, it could have
been a
dealer installed option.

>Is there any connection between Lincoln Mercury and Visa?

They weren't necessarily dealing with either comapny.

See above.

>Any ideas? I am completely stumped.

Good rule of thumb - never ever buty anything unsolicited over the phone.
