I couldn't understand why rear wheel bearings on my Passat lasted such a
short time, I must have changed them three times in 12 months. I was using
a
grey/black grease as it's what I had lying around in the garage.As soon as
I
bought some new Axle Grease to use - lo and behold, they stopped breaking.
Just a thought.
