About 8 years ago, just before we moved here, a house over the road from
our
old house got a direct hit. It wiped *every* bit of electrical equipment
in
our house & next doors. It even blew some speaker cones etc.
Even the telephone gotr fried.
That was a big insurance claim i can tell you.
