That's down to inadequate scrutineering, is that.

I've seen it happen, also seen an impressive blow-out on a cement mixer at
about 45 on the main road.  ****ING big bang, bits of tyre and rear
mudguard
flying everywhere.

drove past slowly and the driver was picking up bits, wound the window and
said summat like "that was a bit loud".  He had in his hand a piece of
tyre
tread about 2ft long.  "It was a good tyre" he said, noting the depth of
tread left.  "'s not now" quoth I.
