The most common cause of loss of hot oil pressure in an top oiler FE
besides losing the welch plug near the distributor is this one.

"In-vehicle" overhauls are usually bad ones, and I'd expect the cam
bearings to be already worn out due to bad installation...also very
common in this scenario.
