\Hi and thanx for the enlightenment. I've been looking at so many manifold
and head pictures on ebay that I began to think that mine looked like them
?
This time I really looked and the manifolds are apparently GT or at least
not 2 bolt/****t vertically opposed as they really have horizontal opposed
bolts(the visable ones) but the heads have an upper bare unused threaded
"boss" probably for the non GT manifold.which makes it difficult to access
the plugs if they weren't already blocked by the smog tubes. Thanks for
saving me from buying the wrong heads on ebay!!
I paid a "professional" years ago to jack up the engine to change the
plugs
and remove blown manifold gaskets that didn't need to be installed in the
first place and found out months later that he didn't put a board under
the
pan and subsequently trashed it. I checked the vin on the fender and it's
7R01S--- and the door plate is the same and the the registration is the
same. The one on the fender has a very deep stamped "S" which could be
suspicious??? The cast engravings on the intake manifold are C6AE 425-6.
Where else should I look for #'s? Does that seem suspicious for a 67
vehicle?? I know that the engine was worked on as years ago(many) soon
after
purchase my son and I had to disassemble the engine to replace worn
misaligned cam bearings/cam causing low oil pressure.I would be glad to
send
you pictures but have to get my son over with his digital camera. What
pictures would U need??
