I just did this last year, here are some issues (read$$$$$).
Motor and chassis mounts. The rubber mounts are different, the chassis
mounts to the block are different but available and the frame mounts
will need to be re-drilled.
Exhaust manifolds or headers. The heads will need the canted mounting
holes (14 bolt holes) GT are the least expensive over CJs. Watch for
heat riser vs. non heat riser, you'll need the correct H-pipe. And
Herb S. was right about the plugs.
Radiator -the stock BB radiator frame and top mounts differ, and if
you go after market aluminum ask this question or you will have to fab
mounts and the stock shroud may not fit.
Transmission- If you look for a C-6, the coolant lines are different
depending on the fitting on the case. Straight vs 90 degrees. The gear
selector level can be flipped over (column vs floor ****ft). The detent
for the can be in the case or the ****fting body. The trans cross
member is different.
If you have power brakes you will have to use a valve cover on the
drivers side that looks like that the corner is cut off. ie M/T box
type covers have clearance issues.
If you convert to/from stock manual/PS brakes the swing pedal sup****t
is different and the hole in the fire wall is different.
The shock tower to firewall brace has double the sup****t at each end.
If you have PS, the intlet on the pump is different.
The front coil springs are heavier .
Hope this didn't deter you.
