I milled the Darts on my bbc to 114cc. It took .050" to get them from
123cc to
114cc. That'll put my Capri engine at 14 to 1 with a .040" head gasket and
zero
deck which is what I was looking for. I'll find out how well this all
works next
year. I'd rather be building a stroked 427 FE engine 'cause I really like
them
but economics is what it is and building a hi power FE engine would cost
twice
as much as what I'm doing now.

Sounds like fun to me. Why is it not hooking? Just curious. We just put a
new
set of Goodyears on our dragster and I'm not too happy with them. They
slowed us
down a little but it's a bracket car so it doesn't matter but they've been
a
little inconsistent too. Our old tires needed a couple of warm up runs,
then
they were dead on. Something we couldn't live with. The new ones only have
about
ten runs on them now but our 60ft times are down as well as out ETs. We
only
have eighth mile tracks near us and our best has been a 4.99 at 142.8 with
a
1.12 60ft. We're now back in the high 5.0s with the new tires. That's an
1800 lb
car, 505 bbc, Dart heads and intake with a Ron's toilet on Methanol. It
runs a
little better than I thought it would but like everyone else we like it to
be
quicker.
