15 gallons sounds awful small.
The only information I could dig up was a vintage Chilton's. It stated 20
gallon tank for all Plymouths in 63 & 64, both six and eight cylinder, and
the Suburban wagon gets a 22 gallon.
While you would think that the Dodges would be the same, both the
Chilton's
and my '63 Dodge factory service manual showed that Dodges used 18, 20,
21,
22 and 23 gallon units depending on the specific application. Go figure.
Chyslers on the other hand used big tanks as you would expect, but the
sedan
tank was a gallon bigger than the Town and Country wagon tank at 23 and 22
gallons respectively.
There you go, clear as mud.
