Never heard anything about the AlSl6 weeping oil. I know 80s Cadillac 
blocks did that (heck, some Northstars still do!), but the AlSl6 block 
was die-cast, not sand cast, and therefore pretty solid not to mention 
ahead of its time. Way expensive to build, though, and I always 
understood that was what ended its production run.

People are still having fun with those engines, though. Doug Dutra is 
building a modified aluminum 225 right now and do***enting it on
slant6.org.
