Well, they did, albeit not majorly since not all that much oil
flows through/past the block proper. The aluminum Slant Sixes
also had structural problems, leading to catastrophic engine
failure, were expensive to manufacture, and the weight savings
did not justify the warrenty and manufacturing costs, hence they
quietly faded into history.

Thanks for the heads up. The WPC Museum has a really nice one on
permanent display in Boss Chrysler's Garage, i.e., the basement.
You are correct on all counts for the reasons you cite for the
demise of this engine, I just added some lesser known issues.
