How many miles have you driven? How hard do you drive? I just did the 
noisy pads on my 04 Civic Hybrid at 115K, but they probably could have 
gone another 30 or 40K. Had bought rears as well, but when I pulled the 
rear drums, the factory shoes still had more lining than the new 
replacement shoes, so I just put the drums back on and returned the new 
shoes to the store.

If you allow the regen to do most of your braking, you probably don't 
need new pads yet.
