Have a '66 Fairlane wagon and had a front wheel bearing go out on me
yesterday. Never had this happen before, and now can't seem to get the
wheel
off. The outer bearing for sure is fried, not sure what shape the inner
bearing is in, though I plan to replace ALL bearings front and rear.
I've tried banging on the rim of the drum from the back side with a fairly
beefy hammer, but so far, no go. When it was healthy, the bearing used to
just pop out as soon as you removed the cotter pin and hold down nut and
****ged the drum a little.Any suggestions? Is there a special tool for this
purpose?
Thanks!
