Just won a nice Weiand Team-G intake manifold for my Chevy big-block on
eBay. Only problem is that previous owner used lots of Permatex blue on
the
thermostat housing, and it's all over the place - even in the groove where
the thermostat would go (guess they ran it without).
Is there an easier way to remove all this crap other than razor blades and
scrapers? Man, that stuff sticks like **** to a sneaker.
(Obviously, any chemical solution (if any) has to be non-corrosive to
aluminum). Anyone here BTDT???
