Doug,
Here's my input -- my '97 TJ will do the same thing -- the integral
fuel pump/filter/regulator assembly is very prone to fouling with
debris, and, in my case, won't hold fuel line pressure when warm.
Symptom is either no start or rough running to a stall. In my case, I
turn the key twice (once to on for a few seconds, then off again, then
start) and it fires right up every time.
