The cleanest power is a direct fused line to the battery or the power 
distribution box out on the fender.  If it was a transmitter, you would 
need to wire it this way to avoid interference with onboard electronics 
and to keep warranty coverage.

The do make the add a circuit power taps with 2 or 3 outlets from one 
fixture.

I do not know if the two devices will interfere with each other, but 
doubt it.  The noise would come from using the body as a ground path 
like all the other electrics in the vehicle.  Fuel pumps and alternators 
can be 'noisy'.

If you had no issues with noise before, then you could power your 
devices from the lighter/radio circuit as long as they don't draw more 
than 12 amps or so.  Figure the wire sizes are designed for a 15 amp 
draw really.  Larger fused circuits use larger gauge wires.

I hear you about the line driver.  I use a cassette adapter for my s****t 
CD (no skip, I drive a CJ7) and when I turn that up full, my stereo 
still needs 4 out of 5 for volume, but I 'can' hear it.
