Gotcha now.  That unit in the link replaces the radio or 'Any' fuse and 
adds two more circuits.  This implies the circuit sees a 10 A fuse and 
each add a circuit sees a shared 5A circuit.

The limit is 5A per circuit, so that would work for your XM and ipod I 
believe.  They will say on their labels what they need for power.

Do you not have unused fuse sockets?  I would try to find one I never 
used and stick this in there.  Like #12 for ETR Radio and power antenna 
or 17 for the clock or even 8 for the gauges and seat belt warning buzzer
.

This way the lighter plug and stereo will still have the full 15 amps 
available.  Some stereos haul big amps by the by and want/need the full 
power the gauge of wire will give them so adding to that isn't really a 
good idea.

Same for the ground, I would try to find a direct body ground.  I think 
there is one on a bolt just above the gas pedal on the inside firewall.
