The ground I am thinking of is wide open just up above the gas pedal.

I looked closer at that fuse and it leaves a dedicated 5A for the 
circuit and only 'one' output extra.  I was under the first impression 
it allowed two new circuits.  You could split the output for both 
devices if you wanted and they only pull 2.5A or less each or just find 
two places to use two of them.

You can poke around with the test light and not worry too much.
