Considering the capabilities of the Rubicon, I don't mind paying the
mileage
cost. Especially as it's not my daily driver. My diesel truck gets
better mileage both in town and on the highway. A lot tougher to find
places to park, however. And I really don't like scuffing up my expensive
off-road tires on pavement.
I'd like to get another Jeep, and I'd like it to be like my old '86
Wrangler. It at least got better mileage than my truck and was my daily
driver for some time. Easy to find a suitable parking space. The old
Wrangler had the hard top but no AC. I had thought, at the time I got
it,
that AC would just drag down the pep of the 4cyl.
Times change. I want another 4cyl hardtop, but with AC this time, and am
wondering if the auto trans will be disappointing in the 4cyl, both in MPG
and in peppyness. This would be a daily driver and, at this time, I am
really leaning towards another 5-speed.
