We had a 4 cyl. with an AT in our old TJ. Since the AT was only a three
speed, performance, to say the least, sucked. We got about 18 MPG whether
on the road or around town, not much difference. The TJ would go just
about
anywhere but it might take some time to get there. We went to the MT 6
speed in the JK when we bought it.
