I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X. I didn't realize that it
would take potholes fairly poorly with a loud thunk compared to my
2004 Jeep Cherokee, which seems to glide over them a bit smoother. Is
there a way to soften the suspension inexpensively so that traveling
across potholes seems to run a little softer? One main reason I ask is
because it takes me 2 dirt roads to get to my house, and the water
collects and causes 2 and 3 inch dips in some locations. I try to fix
the roads with a shovel, but my neighbors have mean wild dogs and also
my work is undone with each passing rainstorm. I don't have the cash
to pave such a long stretch of roads, so I was looking for a way to
soften my Jeep suspension inexpensively.
