I ran a set of the first generation red Silblades for almost ten years 
with no squeaking, etc. and only changed them because I accidentally hit 
  one with a pressure washer and there just happened to be a sale on the 
carbon fibre armed ones when I went looking for a replace.  The fibre 
armed ones refuse to squeak as well, plus they fit that silly 12 inch 
Jeep size.  Actually they fit nicely if you go one inch over stock.

Factory blades or any rubber type don't last a full season in the sun 
around my play areas.
