I would be checking the fuses out carefully.  Especially their socket in 
the panel.  The fuse legs do get corroded and the pin clips in the panel 
also get corroded.  I have used a rust buster like PB Blaster or even 
WD40 on the sockets in the fuse panel.

We had a wonky one that controlled the rear window defrost 'and' 
signals.  The rear defrost fuse was just fine, but the fuse for the 
signals that 'also' appears to control the rear window defrost 'relay' 
has corroded feet.  When the feet of the fuse are corroded, the clip 
inside the panel is also.
