The dash has to come loose and the AC has to be vented out.  The 
ac***ulators under there are also factory defects so while it's open, 
you should change that to save another $1000.00 labor bill or two days
work.

Are you sure the motor is bad?  TJ's also have factory defective heater 
switches that fry all the time.  These are worth about $15.00 and can be 
bought separate from the cluster if you insist the parts guy digs for 
it.  You also need you Jeep there to test it because they come dead in 
the box also.

Some other TJ's, 99's have a recall on a bad dash ground that kills the 
heater also.
