Hi folks,
2002 Wrangler TJ. Lately I have been experiencing difficulty in turning
the
key in the ignition once I stick it in. My initial thought is that the
key
might be wearing (95K miles). What I have done is then turn it upside
down
and it worked. This has nothing to do with the steering wheel being
'locked' in a turned position as it happens when all is straight with no
stress in that way.
However, a couple of times recently both sides had problems. This is
making
me think that it might be the switch (the thing the key goes into) rather
than the key itself.
What ought I do first? I am thinking that shooting some graphite in there
might be in order - is still in vogue or is there better alternatives now?
Other thoughts?
Thanks,
Tomes
