It's a nice feeling using the gearbox to slow the car down, eh? Almost
makes
one feel like a "real race" car driver :) Going from 4500-5000rpm to about
1500rpm in under 2 secs feels great, right? :) Well, it is only a pretend
thing not to mention that it can cause others watching to think negatively
of such a person :)

The sad reality is that you will chew up your clutch a lot quicker and you
should see the how the gears look - I think I replaced 3 sets of clutches
in my Hyundai in about 2 years :) Not really a major job if you had a
hoist
and a mate who's got a full-kitted out workshop and is willing to put in
for yer for nuffin :) Eventually, when said mate starts explaining some
fundamental concepts of a manual clutch and how to drive a car properly
...

I am far from being an expert on cars, so the short answer to your
question
is "Yes" you are buggering up your clutch real quick and stressing your
gears real hard. Have a close lookee see the next time you open up the
transmission to replace the clutch. It is always good to learn something
new.
