I learnt that on the ***mins diesel list many years
ago. And it is very very true.
Yeah, I jump in a 4 cylinder petrol ****er, and it
behaves that way. In my diesel, I'd have a problem
trying to stall it.

The type of fuel, meybe not. I can burn petrol in my
diesel engine up to around a 40% point (don't try diesel
in your petrol engine - it might end up cactus) The way the
engine works alters a lot of stuff. Do I have to worry
about spark plugs and ignition system ... no. Do I
have to worry about timing or fuel quality to the point
the thing pings itself to death... no. It either starts or it doesn't.
Do I have to worry about stale fuel - no. Can I make my
own fuel - yes.
The engine is a very different design to petrol. I spent
the early years of my life suffering with SI engines (still
have a couple) I hate them.

A ***mins 6BT would ****e all over your NA 8 cylinder petrol
or LPG stuff.

Put the right diesel into it.

I'd need to see it to believe it.
