I'm sorry for the Referendum in 1967 that led to the Aborigines being
granted Australian Citizen****p.
This was followed shortly after with Don Dunstan 'giving back' huge tracts
of land.
This was followed by The Mabo Decision which, although Eddy Mabo was a
Torres Strait Islander (in effect an isolated community), affected the
whole
of the country.
This led to numerous and vast land claims (by people who had always
claimed
they did not 'own' the land but rather lived in harmony with it).
This led to ... etc, etc!
It's our home grown Never Ending Story.
