It's the old shoplifting gag. Shop-Stealing is the new term, I believe.
Each year we're harangued by arseholes bleating about shop-lifting.
Each year there's a calling together of the faithful, at which meeting a 
flurry of press releases are spewed forth detailing the MASSIVE losses 
experienced by those poor long-suffering retailers. And the press simply 
prints/broadcasts them without comment. Lazy ****s  

What's *always* left unsaid.
Once upon a time, retailers actually employed staff.
These Staff were there to go get stuff for customers, from BEHIND the 
counter. This quaint old fa****oned system is still in use today. Spare 
parts sales springs readily to mind. Now it could be argued that the only 
businesses left doing things this way are doing so because they regard 
their customers as being too thick to pick out the correct bits and pieces
Hmm. 
But I digress.
These Staff used to cost money to have there.
Those costs were significant in the scheme of things.
But those costs are now minimized, and we see that the major retailers - 
the ones with all the money - are busy as all **** attempting to remove 
'staff' completely. Lets not worry too much about how this is being 
achieved, but warehouse automation and RFID get a look-in here.
There's a reason for all this - it's called profit.
Needless to say, the shoplifters get a better go at the matter because of 
the absence of staff and the ready access to product. Ever wonder why 
tiny items are stuck to big cards?
But the bleating about theft? Well, like I say, tough titties. It's 
simply an *expense* of doing business whose pro-genitor is increased 
profit from removing another *expense*.

I also take immense exception at being informed indirectly that I'm a 
thief. In point of fact, the turds setting their shops up like jails 
actually are *directly* telling all who wander into their stores that 
they are thieves.
Now it has to be said that it takes one to know one. Ferinstance, a $5 
bunch of flowers sells out for $40. ****, the name calling is obviously a 
protection of their thieving retail practices more so than anything else 
- they're just getting in first in an attempt to claim the high moral 
ground. 
There's an exceeding fine line between rank profiteering and simple 
theft. That line is defined by party political donations more so than any 
moral conscience generated out of a dumb and dumber community.


I've never knocked off a single item form a shop anywhere. Certainly not 
even the 'lollies and chocolates thing' exceedingly stupid people just 
love to admit they've been involved in - for **** knows what reason. The 
innocence of youth definitely cannot be an excuse for that behaviour in 
any way, after all.

So, to be treated like I have, and I will, thieve stuff is the pinnacle 
of insulting behaviour from turds that have increased their profitability 
massively and then going out and bragging about it to their shareholders 
and the 'market'. You see, they've done this at the expense of the 
community they accuse of being thieves. The money they make has 
incidentally been ****fted surreptitiously from the staff they once had to 
pay for their labour to 'shareholders' who don't actually have to work at 
all to earn money.

I have a long list of servos and stores that I will NOT spend a cent in. 
Just for ****s and giggles I include arsehole-run-open-for-a-few-hours-a-
day lunchbars that can't manage to serve in turn. (Always tell them why 
you're not buying as you leave 'selections' on the counter before you 
walk out). 
The truly annoying thing is that the Cor****ados actively engaged in 
rorting the community are making so much from the rorting that they're 
getting to the point where avoiding lining their pockets will soon enough 
be impossible.  They're continuously expanding. **** - we now have the 
two biggest bandits in the community shacked up together  - OilCo and 
GrocerCo.
We know that OilCo has virtually removed independent operators. We also 
have seen the demise of the corner store- the draper, the butchers and so 
on at the hands of both the Supermarkets and the Category Killers, where 
the Lowest prices are just the beginning. 
Yeah, right. 
I distinctly recall an 'official' from the Fruit and Vegetable Growers 
association being challenged recently on a radio interview about the 
price of the stuff his mob was involved in.
He turned vicious... and said that his people hadn't had a farm-gate 
price increase for 15 YEARS!! 
Think about the pricing of F&V this past decade and a half.....
And Never Ask a dairy farmer anything about what he's having to send 
stuff out the gate for. 

It's almost a shoe-in that the entire retail sector in Australia will be 
in the clammy grasp of just a few majors and the odd Franchise holder 
they haven't taken over cheap as chips after throttling them with loss 
leaders for a few years. They can afford that, you see. 

Is it any wonder that they 'appear' **** scared of theft? - They just 
can't help seeing a reflection of themselves in Every Customer. That's 
why.

And

**** them and all who sail in them.
