Speed camera, Barton Highway, ACT

Hi Guys,

   After reading Athol's post about the speed camera on the Barton 
highway, near Gungahlin Drive, I wrote into the ACT Roads Minister to 
pass on the info.

   Just received a reply today.  Apparently this camera is not yet 
active.  Only two fixed speed cameras are active in the ACT (not 
including red light/speed cameras) the others are in the process of 
being installed or calibrated.

   He (or his secretary) also said that the ACT GovCo are upgrading all 
"speed camera ahead" signage to reflect NSW warning signs, and will have 
  relevant speed limit incor****ated into the new signs.  Apparently he 
has also noted that additional speed limit signs should be installed on 
the Gungahlin drive off ramps.  Hopefully we'll see something come of it.

PS: Speed cameras were not active as of the 29th of Feb when the reply 
letter was dated.  Don't blame me if you get booked later down the track
