Id be looking for a cheap Hilux, or tell us a bit more info ron exactly
what 
you intend on doing with this 4x4?
Are you goinf to be with more than 1 other person?
Do you want Petrol or Deisel?
Do you want a wagon or ute style?
Are you going to be doing a lot of sand driving?
Are you going to carry a load?

A good Hilux would be hard to find for $5k but you may get a Surf for
around 
$4 1/2 - $7k.
